Ben Pryce,
Assistant Coach, Level 3, SOGO@School Ben grew up with strong orienteering roots, running with our Calgary's Foothills Orienteering club. Lucky for SOGO, Ben then joined our coaching team, first as a volunteer and now as one of our more senior coaches for our athletes to look up to. After high school, Ben joined our SOGO team full time working with our Squirts, Level 1 and Level 2 program before bestowing his talents to our SOGO@School program. All this while training full time as an cross country ski athlete. I think it is fair to say that most of us are not able to keep up with Ben. Currently Ben is a full time student at the University of British Columbia, where he studies Kinesiology. He is a member of the varsity cross country running team, an avid skier, climber, biker, and anything that gets him outside. In other words, we are still not able to keep up with Ben. We are also excited to announce that this season Ben will be joining our Level 3 coaching team. |

Damian is a member of Orienteering Canada’s National Team and has competed internationally since 2008. Aside from orienteering he enjoys hiking, fishing, cycling and cross country skiing. Damian graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Calgary. |
Level 1 and Level 2
Jasmine Sepandj, SOGO Level 1 and Level 2 Head Coach The Sepandj/Robert family has deep roots with the Calgary Orienteering community and we are fortunate to have Jasmine as part of our SOGO team. Her younger years were spent pursuing Olympic goals in the sport of Ski Jumping, before retiring and devoting her efforts towards coaching. Jasmine found a passion in this area of athletics, watching youth grow as both athletes and eventually into young adults themselves. To help her in her coaching, Jasmine has utilized her undergraduate degree in Science in Kinesiology, which she is currently working on. Jasmine finds joy in her coaching role with SOGO as she combines her experiences in coaching, knowledge acquired from her university courses and her passion for watching and helping kids learn and develop more active lifestyles. |
Level 3

We are really excited and fortunate to have Emma's talent and background on our SOGO team. Emma's favourite Calgary park to run at is Nose Hill and in addition to orienteering, she loves running, hiking, and learning about nature. Emma just completed her undergraduate degree in Geographical Sciences and will be starting her Masters in Earth and Environmental Sciences in the fall. |
