Outdoor adventure for all kids
SOGO@School is a program offered to schools in Calgary and the surrounding area. SOGO@School can enhance a curriculum by providing students and athletes a fun and engaging adventure running program: teaching students skills of navigation, endurance & agility.

Your school will coordinate with our SOGO staff to find the basic learning objectives of your group that fit within our program offerings. We can then create the experience to fit the number of students, schedule and the outdoor space available. The SOGO program is an outdoor experience, we can design a program in the school yard, green space near the school or local parks depending on the school preference. Our SOGO staff incorporates orienteering equipment and maps as well as a specialized timing system into the program.
 
Program Format and Location Details
SOGO Adventure Running programs are available in flexible formats to meet your school's needs — we offer half-day, single-day, or multi-day options. Programs can begin on school grounds (for a residency longer that one day) and transition to a nearby green space or larger park. However, please note that we are unable to accommodate multiple locations in a single day for one school group. If kindergarten students are participating, they must be brought to the same location as the older grades to ensure consistency and supervision.

In our "More Information" section, you’ll find a sample schedule that illustrates how to structure your day so that students of all grades can get the most out of their SOGO Adventure Running experience.

While we maintain appropriate coach-to-student ratios for safety and support, we also value having additional adult supervision. Teachers, teacher aides, parents, or other volunteers are encouraged to join us—especially in larger park areas where extra eyes help us maintain safe boundaries, as coaches cannot have direct sight lines to all runners at all times.
