Our Spring 2026 registration opens January 19th at noon
2026 Spring Season Details
- The 2026 Spring SOGO program runs from May 3rd to June 29th for an 8 week Season.
- New for 2026: All Sessions are 90 minutes each.
- All locations are pending, based on securing park permits.
- A minimum of 5 registrants is required for a session to run. We will cancel sessions with less than 5 registrants. Please register early and encourage friends to register as well.
- Age is calculate as of June 30th, 2026.
- FEES
For Squirts, Level and Level 2:
$195 for eight 90 min sessions - plus a 2026 Foothills Wanderers Orienteering Club membership - free for kids under 5 and $15 for kids 6 and up
For Navigators:
$350 for sixteen 90 min sessions (two sessions/week) - plus a 2026 Foothills Wanderers Orienteering Club membership - $15 for kids 6 and up - New for 2026: Foothills Orienteering Club (FWOC) Membership Update
This year, FWOC membership will be completed during event registration rather than being included in the SOGO fee. It’s a one-time step that gives you membership for all of 2026. With your membership, you’ll have immediate access to register for all FWOC events, including Wednesday evening events, and be affiliated with the Alberta Orienteering Association and Orienteering Canada. There are a few extra questions during registration (such as mailing list preferences), but this ensures instant access to benefits and helps us manage registrations more smoothly.
Parents: Thinking of giving orienteering a try? When an adult joins, junior memberships are discounted by 40%. Also, FWOC offers adult programs like NAV 101. - Step by step Registration Video: The registration process is a bit different this year because of the additional step of purchasing the club membership. - EARLY BIRD BONUS
If you use the promo code SOGOEARLY2026 (case sensitive) and you register by Feb 15, 2026 you'll receive a 10% discount on your registration fee. Feel free to encourage others to use this promo code too. - New for 2026: SOGO Adventure Running SWAG - you can purchase some great looking SOGO SWAG items during the registration process. We'll have these ready for pick-up at SOGO programs in May - or let us know if you want to arrange to pick-up before the start of the SOGO season. You can see the items available here.
- Registration closing date is April 22. Limited registration available after that date.
We understand that there are a variety of reasons for registering late. We would love for your child to participate in SOGO. We are adding the extra fee because it is time consuming for us to add kids to our class rosters and processes which we set up right before and during the start of the sessions. Limited registration will be available from April 23rd - May 16th for an additional $30 fee and any missed session will not be prorated. Please email [email protected] if you want to register between Apr 23 and May 16th. - Wait-list: If your desired session time is full and you would like to be added to our wait-list, please fill out our wait-list form. If a session is popular we will attempt to add additional coaches if possible.

- Financial Assistance Options
We want every child who is excited to participate to be able to join us. If program cost is a barrier, funding support may be available through a KidSport grant or Jumpstart Individual Child Grant to help cover registration fees.
