Our new SOGO in your Community program is part of our [email protected] initiative. [email protected]Home aims to keep our kids active this spring, in backyards and our communities, while respecting our collective social responsibilities regarding COVID-19. SOGO in your Community is a program focused towards kids aged 5 to 18. Our Level 1, 2 and 3 coaches have set out age-appropriate navigation (aka Orienteering) courses in local parks around Calgary, Cochrane and Bragg Creek. This program is open and available to all families regardless of your background with SOGO, orienteering or adventure running. Our courses (see example image beside) are set up for our kids to run with family members and/or community friends. If you have any questions or not sure how to get started, our SOGO Coaches are available via email or Zoom meetings to help. Upon registration, we will ask families for kids names, ages and if any, past experience with our program. Our coaches will then be in contact with registrants to provide appropriate support and courses. If you are a newcomer to SOGO Adventure Running, our coaches will help you with all you need to know to get started!
We would like to encourage all families participating in our program to please be respectful and stay informed regarding the Government of Alberta's Guidance on Outdoor Activities as well as the City of Calgary's information regarding Outdoor Spaces and Parks.
