2026 Fall Season Details
- New for 2026: Foothills Orienteering Club (FWOC) Membership
FWOC membership will be completed during event registration rather than being included in the SOGO fee giving you an annual 2026 club membership. With membership, you’ll have immediate access to register for all FWOC events, including Wednesday Evening Orienteering (WEO) events, and be affiliated with the Alberta Orienteering Association and Orienteering Canada. There are a few extra questions during registration (such as mailing list preferences), but this ensures instant access to benefits and helps us manage registrations more smoothly.
SOGO Parents: When an adult purchases a FWOC Membership, junior memberships are discounted by 40%. FWOC offers adult programs like NAV 101. - Step by step Registration Video: The registration process is a bit different this year because of the additional step of purchasing the club membership. - FALL 2026 Registration Details:
- Wednesday: Session length is 90 minutes. Fall Season is 6 weeks running September 9th to October 14th.
- Thursday: Session lengths are 75 minutes each. Fall Season is 6 weeks running September 10th to October 15th.
- Friday: Session lengths are 75 minutes each. Fall Season is 6 weeks running September 11th to October 16th.
- Saturday: Session lengths are 90 minutes each. Fall Season is 6 weeks running September 12th to October 17th.
- EARLY BIRD Registration:
Register before July 19 using the promo code FALL2026EARLY (case sensitive) to receive a 10% discount off your registration fee (does not apply to Club Membership or SWAG) - SOGO PROGRAM FEES and REGISTRATION DEADLINE is August 16, 2026:
- Wednesday $150
- Thursday $125
- Friday $125
- Saturday $150
- Registration Rules:
- Sessions will be cancelled with less than 5 registrants, so please register early and encourage friends to register early as well.
- Ages of participants will be calculated as of December 31, 2026
- Wait-list Form, if your desired session time slot is full and you would like to be added to our wait-list, please fill out our wait-list form. If a session is popular we will attempt to add additional coaches if possible.
- LATE Registration: We understand that there are a variety of reasons for registering late. We would love for your child to participate in SOGO. We are adding the extra fee since it is time consuming to add children to class rosters and processes which are set up right before the start of the sessions.
- Limited registration will be available from August 16th - September 13th for an additional $30 fee and any missed session will not be prorated.
- New for 2026: SOGO Adventure Running SWAG - can be purchased during the registration process with pick during the first two weeks of the season unless alternate arrangements have been made.

Wednesday nights are all about exploring! Locations rotate all over the city (and even a little beyond) as part of the Foothills Wanderers Orienteering Club Wednesday evening events — a perfect excuse to discover new parks you might never visit otherwise. While your children orienteer with SOGO, parents and family members are encouraged to jump in and do the Foothills Wanderers orienteering event too or take some time to discover the park however you want!
